Comming Down

I have made it back to China in one piece, and let me add that it was no easy task. Friday started like any other day, some work, a meeting, and then lunch with the lads at Tony Romas. After that the only sensible thing to do was to have a few drinks before heading back home and prepping for the nocturnal festivities. Plus I had not packed any bags yet and my flight out of JKT was at 6.30 am so I was planning to hit the airport straight from the club. Well, one thing led to another and my few drinks after lunch became a few more, and then I wanted to avoid traffic, and eventually I did not make it home until about midnight. By this point Putz was in da club, and I was just about to start packing. I managed to get my shit together in about 15 minutes but I did end up leaving some vital stuff behind like the charger cable for my lap top. Not cool. And I can’t even begin to explain what sort of a state I was in. This is not how I wanted to travel, especially because I was landing straight into another reunion party in HK where I was expected to be in form.

Needless to say we had an awesome time at the new Blowfish that night. All the boys were in form but I was just burned out. I actually had to retreat to a corner for a 15 minute power nap before I could enjoy the festivities. It was about 4.30 am when we congregated outside; I located my luggage, and made my way to the airport. To be honest I do not actually remember checking in or getting on the plane even. I remember being woken up in the departure lounge and being told to board the flight then the next thing I knew I woke up on a plane half way to Hong Kong. I am going to be 30 years old next year. I can’t keep living like this.

The rest of the weekend in Hong Kong was equally adventurous and I managed to secure some solid pictures there at least. In the last few days I have had hardly any sleep. I barely feel human right now. But at the same time, I live for this shit. Coming back home to an empty apartment, freezing my ass off on the 28th floor is straight up depressing. Spending the week in Jakarta with all my friends was awesome and thank you guys for everything. I guess I can also congratulate brother VJ officially now. He is going to be a dad next year. Little Elvis is on the way.
