2007
New Years was fun and spontaneous. I did not plan to do anything at all but lunch and a bottle of crisp white wine ran into some evening drinks and eventually an absolute piss up, so much for welcoming the New Year in a sober state. The holidays were extremely boring. I actually got tired of sitting on my couch watching TV. I missed my car, my house, and my kids. China really sucks when there is no work to do and as with everywhere else, when you don’t have shot loads of money to blow. The internet speeds here are still fucked making it impossible for me to download most of email and browsing is out of the question. The crazy thing is that Chinese news has little or no coverage of the issue. I do not know when things well get back to normal. On the lighter side I have moved into a new office. For the first time in my life I am part of cubicle culture. No more surfing porn and I am going to have to blog while no one is around to spy on me. I really wish I had more to share right now but I don’t. I have read a couple of great books that I want to post about though. I am currently enjoying a book called ‘Kafka on the Shore’ by some Japanese dude. It is in most ways entertaining but even more so inspirational and insightful. But I am only half way through so it could still crash and burn. Mahalo.

Kafka on the Shore is by Haruki Murakami...
merci... I read a few more chapters last night and it is taking some strange twists.
Yup - I think it's one of the most bizarre books I've ever read!
