What is a Meme?

I usually spend my afternoon’s reading a bunch of blog’s that I have saved in my favorites. I used to have them in a list on this page but once I changed the template I could not figure out how to get them back on. The three sites I hit up more than once a day are Kenny Sia, Sixth Seal, and Spanky’s Blog. Reading them is pretty much what prompted me to start a blog of my own. They are all Malaysian based bloggers and they are all very unique. Kenny’s Blog is one of the funniest blog’s I have read to date, and at times it has also been the most touching. He has been nominated for some award by some Malay blogging community thing. So a whole bunch of Malay bloggers are in KL for this convention. I think it is pretty cool actually meeting a person whose life you have been following for so long. Some of these guys actually have celebrity status. Stranger things have happened though. Singapore has a large blogging community as well and they hold conventions too. I have no idea what Indo has going.

So these things have been going around called Meme’s. And when you get one, you have been tagged. Then you can tag other people. I don’t really get it but I saw one on Spanky’s Blog so I decided to rip it and fill it out as well. I have gotten some pretty lame ones before but this is more up my alley. I don’t really get the whole thing so forgive me for the weak explanation. If you have a blog and you want to answer these questions too, then consider your self TAGGED. Bizatch…

Total number of books I own:
I have about 50 books that I keep with me where ever I live. And I read them over and over again.

2. The last book I bought:
This weekend I bought a book called The Master and Margarita. It is an old, Russian classic. The song “Sympathy for the Devil” by the Stones is loosely based on this book. I have only hit the 3rd chapter but I am enjoying it tremendously.
3. The last book I read:
Currently I am reading the book I just bought. Before that I read The Plague by Albert Camus. It was a bit of an effort to get through but it was worth it. The last good book I read would probably me The Curious Incident with the Dog at Midnight. It kind of reminded me of Catcher in the Rye.
4. 5 books that mean a lot to me:
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I adore HST’s style of writing. I have almost all his published books.

A Brave New World. Although it is a bit outdated, the content has always had a heavy impact on me. Plus Aldous Huxley is pure genius.

Johnny Got His Gun. This is a real old book about the horrors of war, written by Dalton Trumbo. I have read this a few times as well.

Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. One of the most motivational books I have ever read. Also very mind altering.

Calvin and Hobbes Collection. I have about 5 or 6 of the books and I find them very relaxing to flip thorough on a lazy Sunday morning.

I am chilling here today, after a relatively heavy night out, listening to Mr. Brightside by The Killers. I like this band more and more. I got a few or their tracks and other one I really like is Somebody Told Me. I am so obsessive that I just keep playing them over and over again. The video is pretty cool too. It features Eric Roberts who is kind of a B grade actor. He is also Julia Roberts brother. I guess he is kind of the best of the B grade actors.

The pool competition is on tonight and it is the last game before the semi-finals. We are in second place so we have to win the game tonight to get through. I hope I don’t choke.

Damn bro, why is there a war now? I have been reading all the other blogs and I really enjoy them dude. But its all way to deep for me. You know, I am just a shallow brother who enjoys talking about sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Plus bro, I just got to much reality going on in my everyday life to think about what condition my condition is in.

And dude, i certainly do not miss that prude Irafath.
