And it is time. In 2 more hours I will be heading to the Guangzhou train for a 2 hour ride to Hong Kong. From there it is another hour to the airport, some hanging around and a long ass trip to Doha. I got an ugly 10 hour lay over there which I am seriously dreading. I have not made any preparations for that but I know that there is no booze in that city so I am fucked. My around 8 am Saturday morning I am flying to Nairobi and I should be in the resort in Mombassa some time tomorrow night. I figure I will be traveling around 30+ hours. I am not looking forward to this.
But the light at the end of the tunnel makes it all worth it. I am attending my cousins wedding. He is more like a brother really. I looked over my shoulder when we were growing up in Ghana and he even had my back when we were in HI together. When I was really loosing my mind and going over the edge he was the voice of reason that kept things in perspective. 10 years later and he is marrying the woman he loves. Over the years he has always kept close relations with the whole family so no one could really turn down his invitation. But although he is well centered and focused, once the curtains go down this boy is hell on wheels. I am looking forward to catching up with all my cousins as well as my nephews who are meeting me there. I have not seen the buggers in 2 months now. There will also be a bunch of college cronies who are gonna want to mix things up so this is gonna be one hell of a trip.
I got a short stint in Zambia as well that will an adventure as well. We might be doing the whole Victoria Falls trek if we have the energy for it. From there I am on to South Africa for business. I might hit up a few cities there and after hours I here that city goes off. Safe to say I will probably not be blogging for the next 2-3 weeks at least. I might be able to upload some pictures every now and then if I meet a good internet connection. When I get back I should have a lot to post about. I also have new designs for a couple of tattoos I want to get. Until then, Aloha, and have a good one.
