R.I.P Crocodile Hunter

Sitting here at the hotel bar on the northern coast of Mombassa, working on my laptop, I was approached by an English bloke who asked me to Google Steve Irwin. Most of you might remember him as the Crocodile Hunter. He was well known for getting dangerously close to crocodiles and his larger than life personality. He is also known for his deep love for all animals, especially crocodiles.

Just today, on the 4th of September 2006, Steve Irwin was struck in the chest by the barb on a sting rays tail while filming a diving documentary. He died shortly after. He was a great entertainer and obviously a very caring person was in touch with the planet. This is the end of an era…

Always enjoyed his shows. It's a damn shame...

I know this sounds really insensitive but sometimes he really did push his luck tho.

But I guess the important thing to remember is that he died doing what he loved.

I would like to extend my deep sympathy for Steve Erwin. Always watched him on Animal Planet.

Wrote a blog on him, too. Thought you might be interested :)

that was pretty sad watching it over the news. that's just not fair. sad to see someone that gives so much to nature has his life taken away by it.

Animal planet will never be the same again!

Crocodile Hunter was one of my favourite dudes on Animal Planet because of his enthusiasm for his work. When he was playing with the crocs, it looked like he was out there havin a good time enjoying the day.
